1-1/2” x 30” surface conditioning sanding belts are made with flexible non-woven, nylon mesh fibers, impregnated with abrasive grains. These belts are comparable to scotchbrite belts and are made for use on a pipe belt sander requiring a 1.5” x 30” belt. These 1-1/2 inch by 30 inch belts are specifically designed to sand down, clean up or polish while reducing heat. By keeping the work piece cool while grinding these belts prevent discoloration or damage. Each surface conditioning sanding belt also features a coating to prevent loading and extend the useful life of the belt. These 1.5 inch thick by 30 inch long pipe belt sander surface conditioning belts are extremely tough and due to their spongy characteristics are perfect for work on contoured surfaces such as pipes and tubing or on edges. These surface conditioning belts are particularly effective at rust and corrosion removal, finishing metals including stainless steel, as well as creating a straight line brushed finish on a wide number of metals.
